Unbecoming: A Poem on Shedding Layers and Rediscovering Self

Intro:
Unbecoming is a minimalist poem about the process of letting go to find oneself. This piece reflects on shedding old identities, masks, and illusions, exploring the beauty and freedom of uncovering the true self beneath.

Poem:
unclothe me of this skin,
shed this shape, this
clay I’ve carried too long.

i was more before
i was named,
(closer to earth, to sea, to sun)

there is a becoming
in undoing,
a beauty in being undone.
